KIDS WITH AUTISM

As you all know by now, I am a student in diploma of early childhood education. Like I said before the more I learn about this diploma the more I like it. And what I like learning the most is about children that mostly have medical conditions. I have been in a program that is called BLUE KIDS’ FUN ZONE as a volunteer. This program is about children with autism and to let the public realize that children with autism is different in their own way, even if they can be a little bit of a challenge. 

It made me open up to new perspective about children with autism. Realizing that there are people out there, that contribute themselves to educate kids with autism. Children with autism can do more in life, if parents dedicate themselves to make their children go forward. Children with autism seems normal but when it comes to their attitude, that’s the main issue. 

As I am at my 7th semester, I am now learning about autism. I am not learning the full terms of autism, but just a portion that I need to know on types of autism, factors of autism, features of autism and teaching strategies for autism children.

WHAT IS AUTISM ?

Symptoms of autism begin to appear before the child is 3 years old. Autism children usually have disruption in communication, problems in social interactions, sensory disturbances, play patterns and emotional behaviors.
